Molly Newborn
President and Founder
Molly Newborn is the President and founder of Newborn Wealth Management, where she provides thoughtful, personalized financial guidance to individuals and families navigating life’s most important financial decisions.
Molly began her career as a research scientist studying cell and molecular neurobiology. Following the global financial crisis of 2008, she shifted her focus to the financial markets, driven by a desire to better understand economic systems and help others navigate financial complexity. She went on to earn her MBA with a specialization in Investment Management from McGill University in Montreal.
Her background includes experience in institutional investing at Deutsche Asset Management and working as a biotech investment consultant for a hedge fund. She later built her career as a financial advisor at leading firms including Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch, where she trained alongside some of the industry’s top advisors, before launching Newborn Wealth Management in 2024 to create a more personal, client-centered experience.
Molly works closely with clients to develop tailored financial strategies that evolve over time. She has a particular focus on helping individuals manage concentrated stock positions, often stemming from equity compensation, with an emphasis on thoughtful diversification, tax awareness, and long-term growth.
She is passionate about financial education and has led investment seminars for companies and women’s groups throughout the Bay Area.
Outside of her work, Molly enjoys spending time with her husband and their son. She loves tennis, playing the ukulele, and is an avid space enthusiast, with a deep curiosity about space exploration and the future of humanity.
Molly holds Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations, as well as California Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Insurance Licenses (CA Insurance #OL50365). She is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada.
